Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 21, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Bharat Load uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our platform.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide information to website owners.

How Cookies Work

  1. When you visit Bharat Load, our server sends a cookie to your device
  2. Your browser stores the cookie and sends it back with subsequent requests
  3. Cookies help us remember your preferences and improve your experience
  4. Most cookies expire after a certain period or when you close your browser

Types of Cookies We Use

1. Essential Cookies (Required)

These cookies are necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled in our systems.

What they do:

  • Enable secure login and authentication (session cookies)
  • Remember load details you are in the middle of posting
  • Maintain security features and prevent fraudulent activity
  • Remember your language preference and region settings
  • Enable CSRF protection for form submissions

Examples: sid (session ID),csrf_token,user_id

2. Functional Cookies (Optional)

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization but are not essential.

What they do:

  • Remember dark mode / light mode selection
  • Keep in-progress form data (such as a load being posted) on your device

Example: theme (stored in your browser's local storage, not a cookie)

3. Analytics & Marketing Cookies

We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies or scripts on the platform. If that changes, we will update this policy first and give you a way to opt out.

How Long Do Cookies Last?

Session Cookies

Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser.

  • Used for login sessions
  • Deleted automatically
  • Most secure option
Persistent Cookies

Remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.

  • Remember your theme preference (up to 1 year)

How to Manage Cookies

Browser Settings

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Here's how:

Google Chrome

Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data

Mozilla Firefox

Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data

Safari

Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Microsoft Edge

Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

Warning: Disabling all cookies may prevent you from using certain features of our platform, including login and load posting.

Bharat Load Cookie Preferences

We do not yet have an in-app cookie preference center, because we only set the essential cookies described above — there are no optional categories to toggle today.

You can still control cookies at any time through your browser settings (see above). If we ever introduce optional cookies, we will add an in-app preference center before turning them on.

Third-Party Cookies

We use services from these third-party providers, which may set their own cookies or use equivalent identifiers when you interact with their embedded features:

Google Services

  • Google Maps (location and navigation services)

Payment Providers

  • Razorpay (payment processing)
  • Cashfree (payment processing)

Communication Services

  • MSG91 (SMS delivery)
  • Twilio (fallback SMS delivery)

Note: Third-party cookies are governed by their respective privacy policies. We recommend reviewing these policies to understand how your data is used.

Cookies in Mobile Apps

Our mobile apps (Shipper, Trucker, Driver) use similar technologies to cookies:

  • Local Storage: Store preferences and cache data locally on your device
  • Session Tokens: Maintain authenticated sessions securely
  • Device Push Tokens: Used by Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications
  • Crash Reporting: Firebase Crashlytics collects crash diagnostics to help us fix bugs

Managing Mobile App Data

You can manage data collection in mobile apps through:

  • App Settings → Privacy & Data
  • Device Settings → App Permissions
  • Clearing app cache and data

Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons.

When we make changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • Notify you through the platform or via email for significant changes
  • Give you the opportunity to review and accept updated terms

Your continued use of Bharat Load after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Cookie Policy.
